The City Clerk plays a vital role in the governing body of the City of Oak Hill by serving as the official record keeper and ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and preservation of city records in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
Ms. Vaughn plays an essential part in the governing body for the City of Oak Hill. As the official record keeper, she administers and preserves the city’s records with integrity and accountability while exercising independent judgment consistent with applicable laws, city policies, and administrative guidelines.
Responsibilities of the City Clerk include recording all official actions of City Council and maintaining contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and agreements. The Clerk also ensures that Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests are processed in accordance with state law.
All FOIA requests related to law enforcement records should be directed to the records division at the Oak Hill Police Department at ohpd@oakhillwv.gov.
