Code Enforcement
Our mission is to promote community awareness through communication and education in order to protect life, health, property, and the environment.
The Code Enforcement Office is responsible for performing inspections of properties to ensure compliance with applicable municipal and state codes, ordinances, and regulations that govern the maintenance of property and structures.
The enforcement office reviews and inspects business license, industrial and commercial activities, and construction projects. But, the officer's primary role is to serve as a resource to resolve complaints within our city. Residents can report everything from garbage to storm water clogs.
Violations can include refuse, maintenance issues, overgrown lawns, unpermitted improvements, safety issues or other dangerous items needing repair, as well as abandoned junk vehicles, and dilapidated structures.
