Mr. Cris Meadows is the Executive Official in charge of the administration of Oak Hill's government. Appointed by City Council on August 11, 2025, he reports directly to the Mayor and City Council and is responsible for managing the city's day-to-day operations.

 

 

His responsibilities include overseeing:

  • Labor relations, insurance, and risk management
  • Budgeting and financial analysis
  • Grant management and inter-municipal relations
  • Execution of policies set by the Council

 

In this role, Mr. Meadows provides supervision to administrative department personnel and directs all department heads in operational, fiscal, and general management functions.

 

Previous Experience

Mr. Meadows brings 22 years of experience as a City Manager in nearby Hinton, West Virginia. While there, he:

  • Oversaw the construction of the Hinton Technology Center.
  • Provided direction and grant support for street projects.
  • Supervised over $20 million in sanitary sewer projects.
  • Was responsible for numerous restoration projects in the National Historic District, including the renovation of the freight depot into an event center.
