The City of Oak Hill is seeking a full-time Building Inspector to join our team! This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and quality of construction and property maintenance within the city.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing building and structural inspections for compliance with state and local codes.
• Enforcing city ordinances and property maintenance standards.
• Administering and managing the City's Vacant Property Program.
• Conducting investigations and preparing inspection reports.
• Working closely with contractors, property owners, and city departments to ensure code compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain all necessary certifications within six (6) months of hire.
• Knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous experience in construction, inspection, or code enforcement a plus.
