All Fayette County residents are welcome!

Meet with County Assessor Tara Tyree and receive personal assistance with your Homestead Exemption and tax questions. The Fayette County Assessor's Office invites you to attend a Homestead Clinic & Q&A session in your community. Learn more about your property assessments, farm exemptions, and tax forms with help from your County Assessor.

Monday, November 10 

  • Fayetteville City Hall - 9:00-10:30 AM
  • Oak Hill City Hall - 1:00-3:00 PM

Wednesday, November 12 

  • Montgomery City Hall - 9:00-10:30 AM
  • Smithers City Hall -10:40 AM-12:00 PM
  • Gauley Bridge City Hall - 1:00-2:30 PM

Thursday, November 13

  • Ansted City Hall -9:00-11:00 AM
  • Meadow Bridge City Hall - 12:00-2:00 PM

Friday, November 14

  • Pax City Hall - 9:00-10:30 AM
  • Mount Hope City Hall - 11:00 AM-1:00 PM

    Signing Up for the Homestead Exemption?

If you plan to sign up during the clinic, please bring:

  • Your West Virginia Driver's License or State ID, or
  • Your award letter from the Social Security Office (for disability exemption).

Eligibility: You may apply if you are 64 years old and will be 65 before July 1, 2026.
