Accidents can happen anytime—on the trail, at camp, or far from help. Whether it’s an injury, sudden illness, or unexpected weather, will you know what to do? With proper training, you can prevent emergencies from escalating and make the difference between a positive outcome and a dangerous one.
The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course is perfect for:

- Meeting ACA guidelines or recertifying SOLO’s Wilderness First Responder program

Equipment Checklist
- Bring clothing and gear suitable for the season and location—this course will be held primarily outdoors.
Required Items:
- Notebook & pen/pencil
- Rain jacket & pants
- Layered clothing (for temperature changes)
- Warm hat (non-cotton)
- Gloves/mittens (if cold)
- Backpack
- Reusable water bottle (1 qt / 1 liter)
- Closed-toe shoes (sandals only indoors)
Optional but Helpful:
- Small tarp or ground cloth (6x4 ft plastic sheet works)
- Sleeping pad (e.g., Thermarest, Ridgerest)
- Bandanas/cravats
- Parachute cord
